From bespoke and stylish weddings to corporate conferences, Appleby Castle can accommodate a variety of events.

Corporate events: Two large halls can accommodate approximately 80 people each, and several smaller rooms with interconnecting doors allow for smaller group discussions.

Large groups: Appleby Castle is the ideal location for a group or family holiday. The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Hadrian’s Wall, and Durham Cathedral are all within easy driving distance, as well as many walks in and around the area. In addition, the Norman Centre in the Keep is open, with guided tours of the castle, and fishing is available in the 25 acres of parkland surrounding the castle. Large groups can book out the entire castle. The capacity of the Castle building is 32 people, based upon two people sharing. There are 12 bedrooms, some with two super-king or double beds in them. In total, there are 17 separate beds in the castle. Including the cottages adds another 16 people (two cottages with an adjoining door can accommodate six people each and one cottage can accommodate four people). In total, there are 10 separate beds in the cottages.

Weddings: Located deep in the stunningly beautiful Eden Valley, Appleby Castle is the most romantic wedding venue in Cumbria. Offering three packages for nuptials, Apple Castle can accommodate events from five to 100 day guests for a wedding. An on-site wedding coordinator is available to help couples create the fairytale wedding of their dreams.
