The fine-tuned mystical atmosphere and imaginative style of Mystery Hotel Budapest culminates in the conceptual design of the accommodations. In homage to the ancient symbolism adorning the façade of the hotel, as well as the Egyptian revival design of the Great Hall, each of the 75 guestrooms and seven studio suites are inspired by Classical architecture, namely the three Greek column orders: Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian.
The Doric rooms, which overlook the hotel's enchanting courtyard and Secret Garden Spa, are located on the 7th floor and offer stunning views of some of the city’s most prominent landmarks such as the Fishermen’s Bastion, the Castle of Buda, and Gellért Hill. The Doric column order has the most difficult, yet simplest forms and proportions. In the Doric rooms, the English Victorian style dominates. Shades of green in combination with natural materials and textiles create a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.
The Ionic column is more slender and elegant than the Doric order, making it a natural fit for the refined elegance of the French Mansard style. The Ionic Rooms can be found on the top and ground floors, tastefully designed with charming shades of grey and floral motifs. Giant paintings serve as headboards for the thoughtfully appointed beds.
As the most extravagant of the column orders, the Corinthian column inspires the more luxurious guestrooms and suites. Rich Baroque style furnishings, such as burgundy velvet curtains, soft and silky textiles, and other glittering embellishments will leave guests feeling like 17th century aristocrats. The Corinthian rooms and suites can be found throughout the hotel and all afford wonderful views of Budapest.
