• Explore Ross Castle just moments away. Located in Killarney National Park, Ross Castle is a 15th-century tower house and keep that once served as the ancestral home of the O’Donoghue clan. Visitors today can tour this remarkable historic structure.

• Visit the Muckross House nearby. This gorgeous Tudor Revival-style mansion was first constructed in the early 1800s for Henry Arthur Herbert and his wife, Mary Balfour. Muckross House features 65 beautiful rooms to explore, as well as a breathtaking landscaped garden.

• Take a day to travel to the Staigue Stone Fort. Also known as the Caiseal Stéig, this impressive historical landmark is a ruined ringfort that is thought by many to have been constructed during the Iron Age.
