• Visit Monument Circle a few blocks away. This famous area of the city is home to a moving monument known as the Soldier’s & Sailor’s Memorial. Listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, it pays tribute to those Hoosiers who died while fighting for the Union in the American Civil War.
• Head over to the Indiana World War Memorial and Museum nearby. This memorial honors the Indiana men killed in World War I. The Military Museum inside also lists all of the Hoosiers killed or missing in action through the Vietnam War. Inside the building visitors will encounter an Art Deco lobby, an auditorium used for public gatherings, and the awe-inspiring Shrine Room above the main level.
• Explore the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, an 8-mile bike and pedestrian path in the heart of downtown. Connecting neighborhoods and cultural districts, it’s a great way to get an overview of the city and the great restaurants and attractions it has to offer.
