• Explore the beautiful Lakeview Rose Garden, which was originally created in May of 1932. The Lorain Rotary was one of 17 community organizations that sponsored the event and their wheel-shaped logo inspired the shape of the garden. garden includes 2,500 roses planted in 48 beds.
• Take a tour of the Lorain Harbor Lighthouse. The light was built in 1917 on Lake Erie by the United States Army Corps of Engineers and remained in service until 1965. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and is often considered to be one of the most iconic symbols of Lorain.
• Wonder at the mysterious Black River Ghost Ship. Although historical records exist that outline some of the ownership of this 90-foot ship, those records end in 1999 – a full year before the ship appeared in the Black River.
