• Admire the stunning Georgian Revival-style of the Airlie. The Airlie originally started out as a gentleman's estate that baosted extensive gardens and pastures filled with livestock. In 1924, the entire facility was completely rebuilt as a two-story manor house, which currently stands today virtually unchanged.
• Walk through the formal gardens that is lined by 119-year-old boxwoods and conjure images of previous guests that include the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He met met at Airlie to fight segregation and inequality during the 1960s. From the moment the Airlie had opened its doors, it was dubbed an “Island of Thought” and became the go-to gathering place for forward thinkers to take bold and decisive action.
• Discover the Airlie's brilliant farm, where some 10,000 pounds of produce are grown every year. Resident bee colonies pollinate the crops and make sweet, local honey. Seventy-five of the 300-acre farm is dedicated to raising Airlie Berkshire Farm pigs and Angus cattle.
