From the M25 Clockwise, Heathrow
Exit the M25 at junction 21a and at the roundabout take the first exit onto the A405 towards St. Albans. Continue over two roundabouts and at the third take the third exit onto the A414 towards Hatfield. Take the first slip road signposted Shenley/Sopwell and turn left. At the mini roundabout turn left onto Cottonmill Lane. Sopwell House is situated approximately 1/4 mile down this road on the left hand side
From the M25 Anti-clockwise, Dartford Tunnel
Exit the M25 at junction 22 and at the roundabout take the third exit towards St Albans. Continue ahead at the next roundabout and at the end of the dual carriageway, take the third exit at the roundabout onto London Road. Continue to the third set of traffic lights and turn left onto Mile House Lane Pass under the railway bridge and go straight over the mini roundabout onto Cottonmill Lane. Sopwell House is situated approximately 1/4 mile down this road on the left hand side.
From the M1 Southbound
Exit the M1 at junction 7 and join the A414 towards St Albans. At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A414 towards Hatfield. Take the first slip road signposted Shenley/Sopwell and turn left. At the mini roundabout turn left onto Cottonmill Lane. Sopwell House is situated approximately 1/4 mile down this road on the left hand side.
From the M1 Northbound
Exit the M1 at junction 6 following signs to St Albans. Continue over three roundabouts and at the fourth take the third exit onto the A414 towards Hatfield. Take the first slip road signposted Shenley/Sopwell and turn left. At the mini roundabout turn left onto Cottonmill Lane Sopwell House is situated approximately 1/4 mile down this road on the left hand side.
By Train
Thameslink operate a direct service between St. Pancras International and St. Albans station. Fast and semi-fast train call at West Hampstead station before St. Albans and the journey time is approx.15 minutes. Look for either BEDFORD service or ST. ALBANS service. There is also a local service from Kentish Town, West Hampstead, Cricklewood, Hendon, Mill Hill Broadway, Elstree & Borehamwood, and Radlett. On arrival at St Albans station there is a taxi rank outside and the journey to Sopwell House is 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.
