At Hotel Britania Art Deco, the 33 guestrooms and suites are more akin to small apartments. The furniture is original, made specifically for the Hotel do Império by the company Móveis Costa. The beds are made of solid mahogany and the remaining pieces of furniture feature chrome fittings designed and executed in the original modernist/deco style. Some guestrooms have terraces and all feature warm shades of gold and creams. Floors are covered in Portugal’s most famous export, cork, which was a popular flooring material at the time of the hotel’s construction. Handmade in 1944 by the prestigious Mundet Factory, it reflects the geometric motifs found elsewhere in the hotel. Contemporary amenities such as marble bathrooms, air-conditioning, and complimentary WiFi ensure a comfortable stay for the modern heritage traveler.

There are five types of accommodations available at Hotel Britania Art Deco, all with a maximum capacity of two guests. Cozy and intimate, the Classico and Superior guestrooms feature either one double-size bed or two single-size beds and original Art Deco furniture. Located on the 6th floor, the Terrace guestrooms include a double-size bed and a private terrace. The Junior suites offer additional space with either a double-size bed or two single-size beds. Each Junior suite is named for previous guests including Natália Correia (Room 13), Vinicius de Moraes (Room 24), and Carmen Sevilla (Room 44). Located on the top floor, the Terrace suite boasts a king-size bed and a private terrace.
