Miles and miles of meandering country roads and gentle, natural beauty surround the historic Basin Harbor Club and several miles of nature trails meander through Basin Harbor's 700 acres. Nearby Button Bay State Park has an outstanding nature preserve, and just across Lake Champlain, the wilderness of New York State's Adirondack Park beckons, with trails from the club's pristine Adirondack cove. The region is also rich with various shopping and cultural activities. Basin Harbor Hotel provides heritage loding near museums and antique shops. A few of the museum attractions include the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, the Shelburne Museum, Fort Ticonderoga, Mount Independence and Kennedy Brother’s Marketplace. There are a variety of spas and wellness centers in Willison, Essex Junction and Burlington.

Basin Harbor Club is open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October.

Temperatures are moderate during the summer with an average high between 66°F and 80°F and an average low between 43°F and 58°F.

During the fall, Vermont bursts into color with beautiful fall foliage. The season begins after Labor Day and ends around Columbis Day. The weather begins to cool with high temperatures averaging between 57°F and 69°F. The average low temperatures are between 36°F and 45°F.
