Circa 1886 Restaurant
Named for the year the Wentworth Mansion was built, the Circa 1886 Restaurant is nestled in the gardens behind the hotel in the original carriage house. In 2019, Executive Chef Marc Collins launched a unique menu concept that takes guests on a journey through South Carolina's foodways. From dishes like Broken Arrow Axis Venison with sunchoke hash and sunflower seed butter to Piedmontese Oxtail with conch fritter and mustard greens, the flavors at Circa 1886 in Charleston come together to tell a beautiful story. This fantastic option for dining in Charleston, SC has even received a AAA Four Diamond rating, as well as awards from Wine Spectator and Distinguished Restaurants of North America.
