- Wander through one of the Denver Metropolitan Area’s many fascinating museums. With museums covering a range of topics, city explorers will find exhibits to suit their every interest. While art lovers will enjoy places like the American Museum of Western Art, the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art, or the Denver Art Museum, history buffs will appreciate the History Colorado Center and the Molly Brown House Museum. Alternatively, for a more offbeat adventure, check out Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, the American Mountaineering Museum, or Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station, an interactive art experience unlike any other.
- Explore a piece of Denver history with a visit to Larimer Square. Dating back to 1858, when it got its start as a humble pioneer camp for a group of Native Americans and settlers who had struck gold in the Rocky Mountains, Larimer Square can lay claim to many of the city’s firsts. Not only was it Denver’s first block and commercial district, but it was also home to the city’s first city hall and residence. Today, the thriving historic district is lined with Victorian-era buildings filled with charming boutiques and fantastic restaurants and bars, while strings of lights and Colorado state flags dangling from above further set the scene.
- Experience the abundant natural beauty that awaits just outside city limits, whether hiking through the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains or catching a concert at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. Following just a short drive from the hotel, travelers can immerse themselves in the region’s jaw-dropping landscapes. Located only 15 miles, or around 20 to 40 minutes, away from The Brown Palace, the iconic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is crisscrossed with stunning hiking trails, while the geologically formed outdoor theatre offers impressive acoustics in an atmospheric setting. Further afield (plan for anywhere from an hour-and-20-minute to a two-hour drive), Rocky Mountain National Park boasts majestic vistas and plentiful opportunities for outdoor adventures like hiking, fishing, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, or simply a scenic drive.
