To say that The Biltmore Los Angeles has a time-tested history of hosting memorable meetings and special occasions is an understatement. The hotel’s gilded halls and frescoed ceilings have witnessed many elegant events through the years, from romantic weddings to grand galas. Some of these gatherings have even left their mark on not only the hotel and the City of Angels but the American story as a whole.

In 1927, the founding banquet of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences took place in the hotel’s lavish Crystal Ballroom, while the Biltmore Bowl ballroom would host eight Oscars ceremonies throughout Hollywood’s golden era during the 1930s and 1940s. A few decades later, Massachusetts Senator John F. Kennedy won the presidential nomination at the 1960 Democratic National Convention, where he set up his campaign headquarters in the hotel’s Music Room (his opponent and future vice president, Lyndon B. Johnson, took over the Emerald Room) and spoke passionately to delegates about his vision for a “New Frontier” in the hotel’s ballroom.

In short, for those hoping to make a statement, few Los Angeles event venues can compare to The Biltmore hotel. Function spaces, totaling 70,000 square feet, are available in a variety of sizes, setups, and settings, from the massive Biltmore Bowl to the petite, but no less distinctive, Millennium Boardroom, offering an option for events both large and small. Gatherings also enjoy access to an array of amenities, including A/V equipment and accompanying onsite staff, high-speed internet, a dance floor, portable walls, and a staging area.
