Offering three different lodging options, Lake McDonald Lodge features a rustic charm with comfortable amenities that complement the beautiful surrounding landscape of Glacier National Park. The lodge has 82 accommodations with 78 guestrooms and cabins, along with 4 suites. Thirty-one guestrooms are upscale-rustic and include in-room safes, washable wool blankets, upscale amenities package with plush oversized bath sheets, and porcelain bathroom fixtures.

Main Lodge
Surrounded by towering cedars and cottonwoods, the main lodge boasts guestrooms with beautiful views of the inland rain forest. The original structure of the complex, the main lodge is a three story building, with an expansive open-space lobby surrounded by balconies on its upper portions on three sides. Each floor displays incised messages in Kootenai, a local Native American dialect, that translate into inviting phrases, such as "welcome," "new life to those who drink here," "looking toward the mountain," and "big feast." All lodge guestrooms have a private bathroom and parking is available in the main lot located approximately 100 yards away.

The main lodge was declared a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 28, 1987.

Cabins
Adjacent to the main lodge, rows of early 1900-era cabins are situated along a tree-lined pathway. Boasting forest views, cabin guestrooms all feature a private bath and some share a small porch. Parking is usually available directly behind or beside the cabin.

Motor Inn
Comprised of two, two-story buildings, The Motor Inn is privately tucked in the forest near the campstore, just 300 yards from the main lodge. All guestrooms have a private bathroom and parking is limited and available on a first-come basis in front of the motor inn rooms.
