Discover the sleek Art Deco architecture, St. Tropez-tinged ambiance, and lively Miami Beach energy of Hotel Trouvail. Opened in 1940 as the then-Greenbrier Hotel along a stretch of Miami Beach known as "Hotel Row," the hotel is the work of famed architect Lawrence Murray Dixon. Like other Miami Beach hotels and residences designed by Dixon, Hotel Trouvail features many of the details that made Art Deco one of America's most beloved architectural styles, including streamlined curves, window "eyebrows," and jutting towers. Best of all, with its somewhat secluded location between North and South Beach, just one block from the beach, Hotel Trouvail offers the same infectious atmosphere and iconic architecture of other Miami Beach hotels while feeling a world away from the area's infamous crowds.

Uncover the hotel's military roots. Following its opening right before America's entry into World War II, the then-called Greenbrier Hotel was a popular stay for throngs of U.S. Army recruits, who had begun to arrive in Florida for basic training before shipping out to the battlefield. Then, when the war ended, the War Department briefly rented out the building to house soldiers as they returned from abroad.

Kick back and relax with ocean breezes in the hair and toes in the sand from the comfort of a complimentary beach chair. Foldable chairs and towel setups are available to guests as they hit up Miami Beach, while beach-ready cooler bags can be arranged as the perfect accompaniment through the hotel's culinary team. Alternatively, for a different side of Miami Beach, get out and enjoy all that the area has to offer from the seat of one of Hotel Trouvail's complimentary bicycles. With swept-back handlebars and generous seats, these beach cruisers are perfect for exploring the Art Deco Historic District, tooling around the Miami Beach Boardwalk, or simply taking in some of Miami Beach's world-class shopping.
