Glasbern is a picturesque Pennsylvania historic inn and hideaway, tucked away amid the swaying grasses and open vistas of the Lehigh Valley pasturelands.

The Glasbern property dates back to 1787 when the original tract of land was warranted to Malchoir Siep. Joel Mohr eventually owned the property and built the spring house in 1870, the first building on the property.

The land, hidden among 130 secluded acres in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, did not see its first guests until December 1985, after Al and Beth Granger purchased it and completed a meticulous renovation to create welcoming historic accommodations for guests. With the caring touch of master carpenters, the original tractor shed became the Carriage House, the garage transformed into the Gate House, and in 1995, the Garden Cottage was made ready for guests. The stables, though not original to Glasbern, were once located on another nearby farm, and the entire structure was dismantled, moved, and then re-assembled at Glasbern. The Packhouse has a similar history; what were once two dilapidated barns on a nearby farm were dismantled and rebuilt on Glasbern to form one large building.
