  • Discover the vast grounds of the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, which is the only beachside hotel with bungalows. Named for the Spanish word "Miramar," meaning "view of the ocean," discover the sprawling gardens, tropical flowers, tranquil palm trees, lush landscaping, gentle waterfalls, spectacular ocean views, access to the beaches of Santa Monica, and the fresh sea air.

  • Discover the historic Moreton Bay fig tree in the courtyard of the Fairmont Miramar. Georgina Jones, the wife of John Percival Jones, the founder of Santa Monica, planted the tree in the mansion's original rose garden in the 1880s, which she received as a gift. The tree is listed on the Official Registry of California Big Trees.

  • Discover the historic accommodations of the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. Stay in the historic six-story Palisades Wing, which was built in 1924 to provide apartments for longer stays at the beach, and quickly became a favorite of celebrities and politicians. Alternatively, stay in one of the separate poolside bungalows, which were built in the 1930s, or in the ten-story Ocean Tower, which was built in 1959.
