Jeff Lane, French Lick Resort Historian and Archivist, has been named one of 10 finalists for Hotel Historian of the Year by Historic Hotels of America’s and Historic Hotels Worldwide’s Historic Hotels Awards of Excellence for 2020. Also nominated for Historic Hotelier of the Year is Joseph Vezzoso. He is up against five other hoteliers for the award. He has been at French Lick Resort for approximately 13 years and is vice president of sales. West Baden Springs Hotel is also one of 10 finalists for the Best Historic Hotel (201-400 guest rooms).

Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels. The trust has more than 300 hotels, all which faithfully maintain their authenticity, sense of place and architectural integrity. Historic Hotels Worldwide is a prestigious collection of historic treasures and represents more than 260 historic hotels in more than 42 countries.
