Making its debut in 1918 as an upscale apartment building, Tudor Hall offered apartment homes to many United States congressmen and senators. In 1982, the building was meticulously restored and converted into The Henley Park Hotel, Washington, D.C. Today, the lobby boasts its original stained glass windows and Mercer tile floor; traditional archways, mouldings, carved walls, and leaded glass windows are featured throughout. The façade of the building displays 119 gargoyles; four others above the restaurant atrium were rescued from New York’s razed Commodore Hotel. The elegant guestrooms are furnished with fine 19th-century reproductions.
