• Discover the Caribbean Motel, built in 1957 in Mid-Century Modern style and featuring a giant rooftop neon sign, a futuristic "levitating" ramp, a crescent-shaped swimming pool surrounded by plastic palm trees, and an interior design inspired by the Technicolor®️ film process and movie sets of the 1950s. The motel was named to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
• View the Caribbean's neon sign, which beckons with an unmistakable bright red script lettering by day and glows in a dreamy baby-blue hue by night. Local ordinances had to be changed in 1957 to permit the installation of this then-oversized and now-famous sign.
• Admire 1950s-era culture with the hotel's in-room sound system to flash back to the period with vintage doo wop, rock ’n’ roll, and other genres piped in just as guests experienced in the 1950s & '60s.
