A historic hotel and its iconic restaurant once occupied the present location of 21c Museum Hotel Kansas City. Known as the Savoy Hotel and Grill, the business was a prime establishment in the city for well over a century, originally debuting in 1888. Over the years, The Savoy Grill gained an illustrious following, as several U.S. presidents regularly dined at the restaurant. 21c Museum Hotels acquired the business in 2014, and transformed it into the 21c Museum Hotel Kansas City. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the building now is both a luxurious hotel and a contemporary art museum. Guests can enjoy the hotel’s on-site museum, as well as proximity to the Power & Light District and River Market.
