Taste a handmade tamale. Beloved throughout the city, tamales are a corn-based masa that is stuffed with many different kinds of delectable ingredients. Perhaps the most distinguishing quality of a tamale is that it is wrapped in a corn husk.

Taste some mole when feasting upon any of Oaxaca’s unique dishes. Mole is a smooth sauce that is made from ground chilies. This marvelous delicacy comes in a variety of different styles, including “mole rojo,” and “mole verde.”
