Providence Biltmore
   Providence, Rhode Island

Since 1922, the Providence Biltmore has been a Rhode Island tradition.  In its heyday, it was the place to see and be seen in the city, hosting hundreds of society events and celebrations.  The imposing 18-story red brick building rises above the city skyline and its hallmark sign perched atop the roof has beckoned travelers for generations.

The Biltmore’s public spaces are a glowing reminder of the classic elegance that marked hotels of its era.  The rooftop Grand Ballroom, reached by an ornately adorned elevator, offers sweeping vistas and finely crafted decorative touches. The city itself has undergone a remarkable renaissance in the past decade, breathing new life into its downtown.

The completion of a $14 Million Renovation in 2006, with Starbucks, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant, the Red Door Spa by Elizabeth Arden, and Golden Gate Florist reinforces the hotel’s position as the Grand Dame of Providence.

The building's V-shaped layout was designed by architects Warren and Wetmore, who created New York's Grand Central Station.
